Automatic recovery: Failed to restore the computer

Method 1: Relief RAM and BIOS

Method 2: Start Restore

One of the most frequent problems, due to which an error "Could not restore the computer" appears - malfunctions when loading the operating system. They can be associated with both the bootloader and other components, so every solution will have to be sought manually. If your hand already has a boot flash drive or an OS disc, skip the first part of the instructions, otherwise use the other working PC where you follow these steps:

2. Run the received executable file.



3. Take the terms of the license agreement and go to the next step.



4. Check the marker item "Create an installation media (USB flash memory device, DVD or ISO file)".



5. In the next step, use the recommended parameters, since in this case they will not affect anything.



6. Select the Type of Recording "USB Flash Memory".



7. Connect to the computer any flash drive with a volume of at least 8 GB. Make sure that it does not have important files, since the carrier will be formatted. Select it from the disk list in the media creation window, then run the recording process and wait for it.

Now that the carrier with the operating system is ready, you can proceed to the restoration of the components important to load. Turn off the computer, leave the flash drive connected, after which re-enable the device and follow these steps:

2. After downloading the installer, click on the "Restore System" link.



3. Go to "Troubleshooting".



4. Run the "Command Line" by clicking on the tile with the appropriate name.



5. In the console alternately enter the commands below by pressing ENTER after each to activate:

   BootRec / RebuildBCD.

   bootrec / fixmbr

   BootRec / FixBoot

   BootSect / NT60 SYS

   BootSect / NT60 All

Upon completion, restart the computer in normal mode, having previously removed the loading flash drive. If the recovery process still failed, proceed to the next method of this article.

Method 3: Disable Windows Automatic Start Recovery

Sometimes the operating system itself can work normally, and problems are observed directly with the recovery means, which is most often occurring after installing updates or new versions of the drivers. It remains to enter BCDEDIT / SET {default} recoveryenabled no and press ENTER to use the command.

Method 4: Driver Update

As already mentioned earlier, the system recovery problem may appear immediately after updating some drivers, which often happens in automatic mode. Sometimes an update is interrupted or ended only for some devices, leaving the remaining drivers not necessary. This situation is fixed by independent updating of drivers for each component and peripheral equipment (yes, even due to the keyboard driver or mouse, the troubles in question may already occur).

2. After launching Windows, click on the "Start" button with the right mouse button and select the Device Manager option from the menu that appears.

Method 5: Restoration of system components

1. After that, run the "command line" through the "Start" or any way convenient for you.
