On devices with the Android platform by default, the same font is used everywhere, sometimes changing only in specific applications. At the same time, due to several tools, a similar effect can be achieved with respect to any section of the platform, including system sections. Replacing font on Android

However, regardless of the option, only system fonts can be changed, while in most applications they will remain unchanged. Method 1: System Settings

Method 2: Launcher Parameters

This method is the closest to the system settings and is to use the built-in tools of any installed shell. We will describe the change procedure on the example of only one GO launcher, while the other procedure is insignificant.

1. On the main screen, click the center button on the bottom panel to go to the full list of applications. Here you need to use the Lonche Settings icon.

   

   Alternatively, you can call the menu by the clamp anywhere on the initial screen and click on the Loncher icon in the lower left corner.

2. From the list that appears, find and tap to the item "Font".



3. On the page that opens, multiple settings are provided. Here we need the last item "Select Font".



4. Next will be presented a new window with several options. Choose one of them to instantly apply the changes.

   

   After clicking on the "Font Search" button, the application will begin analysis of the device's memory for compatible files.

   

   After discovering them, it will be possible to apply in the same way as a system font. However, any changes are distributed only on the elements of the launcher, leaving standard partitions intact.

The disadvantage of this method lies in the absence of settings in some varieties of the launcher, for example, the font cannot be changed in Nova Launcher. At the same time, it is available in Go, Apex, Holo Launcher and others.

Method 3: IFONT

An iFont application is the best tool to change the font on Android, as it changes almost every element of the interface, in return requires only root-right. Bypassing this requirement will turn out only if you use a device that allows you to change the text styles by default.

From the whole item considered in the article, the iFont application is optimal for use. With it, you will not only change the style of the inscriptions on Android 4.4 and above, but also be able to adjust the dimensions.

Method 4: Manual replacement

In contrast to all previously described methods, this method is most complex and least safe, as it comes down to replacing system files manually. In this case, the only requirement is any conductor for android with root rights. We will use the application "ES Explorer".

1. Download and install a file manager that allows you to access files with root rights. After that, open it and in any convenient location, create a folder with an arbitrary name.



2. Load the desired font in TTF format, place the directory in the added directory and hold the line for a couple of seconds. At the bottom of the panel appeared to "rename", assigning one of the following names to the file:
   • "Roboto-Regular" - the usual style used literally in each element;
   • "Roboto-Bold" - with its help the fat signatures are made;
   • "Roboto-Italic" is used when displaying the cursive.



3. You can create only one font and replace them with each of the options or pick up three at once. Regardless of this, highlight all files and click the "Copy" button.



4. Further expand the main menu of the file manager and go to the root directory of the device. In our case, you need to click "Local Storage" and select the "Device" item.



5. After that, go along the path "System / Fonts" and in the ultimate folder tap on "insert".

   

   The replacement of existing files will have to be confirmed through the dialog box.



6. The device will need to restart so that the changes take effect. If you are all done correctly, the font will be replaced.

It is worth noting, in addition to the names we specified, there are also other style options. And although they are rarely used, with such a replacement in some places, the text may remain standard.
