Each antivirus may once again react to a completely secure file, a program, or block access to the site. Like most defenders, ESET NOD32 has a function of adding to eliminate objects you need.
Adding file and applications to exclusion
In NOD32, you can manually specify the path and the estimated threat that you want to exclude from the restriction.
- Run the antivirus and go to the "Settings" tab.
- Select "Computer Protection".
- Now click on the gear icon in front of the "Protecting File System in Real-Time" and select "Change Exceptions".
- In the next window, click the Add button.
- Now you need to fill in these fields. You can enter a program or file path and specify a specific threat.
- If you do not want to specify the name of the threat or there is no need for this - simply move the corresponding slider into an active state.
- Save the changes to the "OK" button.
- As you see everything has been preserved and now your files or program are not scanned.
Adding to the exclusion of sites
You can add any site to the white list, but in this antivirus you can add a whole list on certain features. In ESET NOD32, this is called a mask.
- Go to the "Settings" section, and after "Internet Protection".
- Click the gear icon in front of the Internet Access Protection item.
- Open the URL Management tab and click "Edit" opposite the "Address List".
- You will be given another window in which click on "Add".
- Select the type of list.
- Fill out the rest of the fields and click "Add".
- Now create a mask. If you need to add many sites with the same penultimate letter, then specify "* x", where x is the penultimate letter of the name.
- If you need to specify the full domain name, then it is specified as follows: "* .domain.com / *". Specify the protocol prefixes by type "http: //" or "https: //" optional.
- If you want to add more than one name to one list, select "Add multiple values".
- You can choose a type of separation, in which the program will count the masks separately, and not as one holistic object.
- Apply the changes to the "OK" button.
In ESET NOD32, the method of creating white lists is different from some antivirus products, it is even complicated to a certain extent, especially for beginners who only master the computer.
