Option 1: Tips
In 2017, Google removed from YouTube the possibility of inserting annotations, instead suggesting to place references in prompts - unobtrusive elements that pop up during the roller viewing. This can be inserted here as a link to another video or other author and on the external resource, however, a number of conditions will be required for the latter. We looked at this and other nuances of the hints in a separate manual for adding them, we recommend to get acquainted with it.

Option 2: Finite Screensaver
The second method of placement of reference is to use the final screensaver - a fragment after the main video, where the service information is located. To add and configure this item, you will need to use the "Creative Studio YouTube", and exclusively in a boarding form, since it cannot be done through the application on a smartphone or tablet.
- Open the Main page of YouTube, then click on the left mouse button (LKM) on your profile avatar and select "Creative Studio YouTube".
- Using the left menu, open the "Content" block.
- Find the roller to which you want to add a finite screensaver, hover the cursor on its line and click on the "Details" button (Pencil icon).
- Scroll down the page down and click on the "Finite Screensaver" panel, which is located on the right side.
Important! This element can be added only to the rollers that last more than 25 seconds!
- After switching to this panel, the screensavers editor opens. First of all, you must select the specific location of the added component - in this you will help the frame ribbon below.
Mouse over the desired timecode and click LKM to set the position.
- Now take a look at the left side of the editor screen - here are the patterns of screensavers. Only options with links on your own video and playlists are available by default, as well as the "Subscribe" button.
To add links, click "Add Element" and select "Link".
- To insert a template or arbitrary item, press the corresponding button.
- Further setting up the screensaver. For rollers and playlists, you can choose type (relevance or novelty), and for all components - change the size (position is tied to the template). The "Subscribe" button is not edited.
Optionally, you can also edit the time of the appearance of some components - for this, pull the corresponding strip on the frame tape at the bottom.
- After adding and setting up the screensaver, click on the Save button.
Now you can open your video to view and check how the link is displayed.
Important! Only authors who have become the partners of YouTube can insert links to external resources. If you do not know what it is, use the manual further.
