- Having access to the main window, follow the following steps: "File" menu - "Connect" - "Access" - "Open".
- Further actions algorithm is simple - use the "Explorer" window to go to the directory with your database, select it and open by clicking on the appropriate button.
- The file will be opened as a tree of categories on the left side of the desktop.
To view the contents of a particular category, you must select it, click on it with the right mouse button, and select Open item in the context menu.

The application has one serious drawback - it is designed primarily in specialists, and not on ordinary users. The interface because of this is quite bulky, and control looks not obvious. However, after a short practice it is quite possible to get used to.
Method 3: LibreOffice
The free analogue of the office package from Microsoft includes a program to work with databases - LibreOffice Base, which will help us open a file with the ACCDB extension.
- Run the program. The LibreOffice database wizard window appears. Select Chekbox "Connect with an existing database", and in the drop-down menu, select "Microsoft Access 2007", then click "Next".
- In the next window, click on the "Overview" button.
"Explorer" will open, further actions - go to the directory where the ACCDB database is stored, select it and add to the application by clicking on the Open button.
Returning to the database wizard window, click "Next".
- In the last window, as a rule, you do not need to change anything, so just click "Finish."
- Now an interesting point is a program, due to its free license, does not open files with the ACCDB extension directly, and pre-convert them into your ODB format. Therefore, after completing the previous item, you will find a window for saving a file in a new format. Select any suitable folder and name, then click "Save".
- The file will be open to view. Due to the features of the work algorithm, a display is available exclusively in a tabular format.
The disadvantages of such a solution are obvious - the lack of ability to view the file as is and only the tabular data display option will push many users. By the way, the situation with OpenOffice is no better - it is based on the same platform as Libreofis, so that the actions algorithm is identical for both packages.
Method 4: Microsoft Access
If you have a licensed office package from Microsoft versions of 2007 and the newer, then the task of opening the ACCDB file for you will be easiest - use the original application that creates documents with such an extension.
- Open Microsoft Aksss. In the main window, select Open Other Files.
- In the next window, select "Computer", then click "Overview".
- The "Explorer" opens. In it, go to the place of storage of the target file, highlight it and open by clicking on the appropriate button.
- The database will boot into the program.
