X-FONTER
The X-FONTER program is not intended to create its own fonts. It is essentially an advanced manager that allows you to better navigate among many sets set on the computer.

Type
Type is an excellent tool to create its own fonts. Allows you to draw symbols of almost any complexity by applying the tool available in the embedded set. There are straight lines, splines and basic geometric objects.
In addition to the standard character creation method described above, the type is present to manually program them using the command window.
Scanahand.
ScanaHand stands out among others thanks to the method of working on the fonts, which is used in it. To create your own font here, you need to print the prepared table, fill it in manually using a marker or handle, and then scan it and upload it to the program.
This means for creating fonts is most suitable for people with the skills of calligraphic letters.
Fontcreator
FontCreator is a program developed by High-Logic. She, like SCANAHAND, provides the ability to create their own unique fonts. However, in contrast to the previous decision, FontCreator does not need to apply additional equipment like a scanner and printer.
In general, this program is similar in its functionality on Type, because it uses about the same set of tools.
FontForge.
Another tool for creating your own and edit ready-made fonts. It has a practically the same set of functions as fontcreator and type, however, it is completely free.
The main disadvantage of FontForge is a rather uncomfortable interface, broken into a variety of separate windows. However, despite this, this program takes one of the leading positions among similar solutions to create fonts.
The above-mentioned programs will help you interact better with different fonts. All of them, except except X-FONTER, have a multitude of useful features to create their own fonts.
