Some users have the need to copy the game from the computer to the USB flash drive, for example, for subsequent transfer of it to another PC. Let's deal with how to make it different ways.
Transfer procedure
Before disassembling the transfer procedure directly, let's find out how to pre-prepare a flash drive. First, it is necessary to make sure that the volume of the flash drive is not less than the size of the portable game, since in the opposite case it does not fit there for natural reasons. Secondly, if the size of the game exceeds 4GB, which is relevant for all modern games, be sure to check the USB storage file system. If its type of FAT, it is necessary to format the media according to the NTFS or EXFAT standard. This is due to the fact that the transfer of files exceeding 4GB to the FAT file system drive is not possible.

After this is done, you can move directly to the transfer procedure. It can be performed by easy copying files. But since games are often quite large in size, this option is rarely optimal. We propose to carry out the transfer by placing the game application to the archive or creating a disk image. Next, let's talk about both options in more detail.
Method 1: Creating an archive
The easiest way to move the game on the flash drive is an action algorithm by creating an archive. We will consider it first. You can perform this task using any TOTAL COMMANDER file manager or file manager. We recommend packing to the RAR archive, as it provides the highest level of data compression. WinRAR program will suit this manipulation.
- Insert the USB media into the PC connector and run WinRAR. Move using the archiver interface to the hard disk directory where the game is located. Highlight the folder containing the desired gaming application, and click on the Add icon.
- The archiving settings window opens. First of all, you need to specify the path to the flash drive to which the game will be thrown off. To do this, press the "Review ...".
- In the "Explorer" window that opens, find the desired USB flash drive and go to its root directory. After that, click "Save".
- Now that the path to the flash drive is displayed in the archiving parameters window, you can specify other compression settings. It is not necessary to do, but we recommend that you make the following actions:
- Check that in the "Archive format" block of the radio channel was installed opposite the "RAR" value (although it must be specified by default);
- From the "Compression Method" drop-down list, select the option "Maximum" (while the method of archiving procedure will take longer, but you will save disk space and the archive reset time to another PC).
After the specified settings are executed, to start the archiving procedure, click "OK".
- The process of compressing the game objects to the RAR archive will be launched on the USB flash drive. Over the dynamics of the packaging of each file separately and the archive as a whole can be observed using two graphic indicators.
- After completion of the procedure, the progress window will automatically close, and the archive itself will be placed on the flash drive.

Method 2: Creating a Disk Image
A more advanced option for moving the game on a flash drive is to create a disk image. You can perform this task using special programs to work with disk carriers, such as Ultraiso.
- Connect the USB flash drive to the computer and run Ultraiso. Click on the "New" icon on the program toolbar.
- After that, if you wish, you can change the name of the image to the name of the game. To do this, right-click on its name on the left side of the program interface and select Rename.
- Then enter the name of the gaming application.
- At the bottom of the Ultraiso interface, a file manager should be displayed. If you do not observe it, click on the menu on the option "Options" and select the "Use Explorer" option.
- After the file manager appears, on the bottom left of the program interface, open the hard disk directory where the game folder is located. Then move to the bottom located in the center part of the ultraiso shell and drag the directory with the game to the area above it.
- Now highlight the icon with the name of the image and click on the Save As ... button on the toolbar.
- The "Explorer" window opens, in which you need to go to the root directory of the USB media and click "Save".
- The procedure for creating a disk image with the game will be launched, for which the progress of which can be observed using a percentage informer and a graphic indicator.
- After the process is completed, the window with informers will automatically hide, and the disk image with the game will be recorded on the USB carrier.

The most optimal ways of transferring games from a computer to a flash drive is archiving and creating a boot image. The first one is simpler and will save space when transferring, but when using the second method, it is possible to start the game application directly from the USB media (if it is a portable version).
