Sometimes a simple installation of the older version of the software used may become a way out of the situation, for example, as in the case of UTorrent. Therefore, first check the early issues of programs.
Method 2: Installing Adguard
One of the most universal solutions for Windows in terms of blocking an advertisement is the Adguard program, which applies to almost any ads regardless of the Torrent client. The software is equipped with a huge number of additional modules, settings, and almost does not affect the performance of the computer.
Step 1: Installation
- Open the official website of the program, use the Download button and confirm the download. After that, run the saved file.
- Implement, following the standard tips of the installation. In general, it is not required to change anything.
During the first launch, you can immediately set up or leave the default values. Since the instructions require to block banners only in torrent clients, we skip this action.
Step 2: Activation
- After the first launch, be sure to use the Main Menu and open the "License" section.
Here will be provided information about the current limitations, including the time of action.
- In the next automatically appeared window, click the "Activate" button in the first block to use a trial period. You can also go to the purchase page of the full version, if necessary.
Step 3: Setting and Enable
- To start blocking advertising using Adguard, in fact, it is not necessary to do something else, as the filters are activated automatically when opening the program. The only one, be sure to prevent the status of "Protection Included".
- Open the "Settings" section through the main menu and go to the Antibanner tab. Due to the fact that any advertising in torrent clients belongs to this specification of ads, use each option on the page.
Having understood with the previous stage, you can run the desired torent client and check if advertising disappeared. Also during this, the ADGUARD main page will be activated by the "blocked banners".
Unfortunately, this program after installation receives a restriction in the form of a two-week trial period, after which it will be necessary to purchase and connect a license. Do this or not - depends only on your capabilities and needs.
Option 1: UTorrent

Option 2: MediaGet
Another fairly popular software for loading torrents is MediaGet displaying ads in several interface places. Here, unfortunately, it is not possible to deactivate advertising on a permanent basis, but at the same time it is possible to make temporary deactivation until the next restart.
- Expand the program and find any advertisement. The hide is performed equally regardless of the placement location.
- Left-click on the Red Cross in the corner of the banner to hide. In case of success, the declaration will disappear, leaving the block to drag files, or stretching the area with loads to the lower boundary of the main menu.
The only place in MediaGet, where the ad is impossible to hide, is the page of any product from the "Catalog" section.
When considering this program as a torrent client without a "catalog" of the described actions will be enough to hide advertising. In addition, the ads appear again, you need a restart, while the usual closing of the window and the re-deployment will not change anything.
Option 3: Bitcome
The bitcomet program is significantly inferior to the above torrent customers in popularity, but still in demand due to a convenient interface and high load speed indicators. Advertising in this case is represented only in one fixed place with the ability to shut down through the internal parameters of the interface.
- Run the torrent client through the top menu, expand the "Tools" list and select "Settings". In this section, you can also go through the button of the same button on the toolbar or by pressing the Ctrl + P key combination on the keyboard.
- Using the navigation menu on the left part of the "Settings" window, open the "View" tab and find the "Default Details panel" string.
- Due to the fact that advertising in the program is posted only in the "Start page" section, it will be enough to expand this list and set any other value like a "summary" or "statistics". However, note that the tab specified here will later be protected from hiding in the BitComet interface.
- Click the "OK" button to close the parameters. Now you need to click on the right mouse button on one of the tabs in the lower area of the program and remove the checkbox from the "Start page" item.
As a result, the only section with an advertising banner will disappear, which will allow you to more comfortably use the program.
If you for some reason want to return the starting tab, use the "Return Default Location" item in the same menu.
