Why no modem mode in iPhone settings
The reason why, after updating iOS, the modem mode disappears on the iPhone - reset the Internet access parameters on the mobile network (APN). At the same time, considering that most cellular operators support access without settings, the Internet works, but items to enable and configure the modem mode does not appear.
Accordingly, in order to return the ability to turn on the iPhone in the modem mode, you need to register the parameters of the APN parameters of your telecom operator.
To do this, it is enough to perform the following simple steps.
- Go to Settings - Cellular communication - Data settings - cellular data network.
- In the "Modem Mode" section, at the bottom of the page, the APN data of your telecom operator (see the following APN information for MTS, Beeline, Megaphone, Tele2 and Yota).
- Exit the specified Parameter Page and, if you have been enabled Mobile Internet ("Cell data" in the iPhone settings), turn it off and re-connect.
- The "Modem Mode" option will appear on the main settings page, as well as in the Cellular Communication subsection (sometimes with some pause after connecting to the mobile network).
