In order for the picture to be played more smoothly, quickly and without artifacts, you need to install drivers for the video card and update them on time. Let's analyze more this process on the example of the NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT graphics card.
Where to download and how to install drivers for NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT video card
If you need to download software for the aforementioned video card, you can make it one of several ways.Method 1: From the official site
This is the most popular and proven way. That's what we need for this:
- Go to the official website of the video card manufacturer.
- The download page opens. On this page, you must fill in the fields of the corresponding information. In the "Product Type" line, specify the value "GeForce". In the "Product Series" row, you must select "GeForce 9 Series". In the next field, you need to specify the version of your operating system and require its discharge. - Next, the process of installing the driver will start automatically. During the installation process, the system will require a reboot. It will make it too alone. After rebooting the system, the installation will resume automatically. As a result, you will see a window with a message about the successful installation of the driver and all components.

Method 2: With the help of a specialized service from NVIDIA
- Go to the site of the video card manufacturer.
- We are interested in a section with automatic search for software. We find it and press the "Graphic Drivers" button.
- After a few seconds, when the service determines the model of your video card and the operating system, you will see information about the software that you are offered to download. By default, you will be prompted to download by the latest version suitable for you by parameters. After reading the information about the selected driver, you must click the "Download" button.

Please note that to use this service to install Java on a computer. You will see the appropriate message in the absence of Java when the service tries to determine your video card and the operating system. It will be necessary to click on an orange icon to go to the Java boot page.

The next step will be a confirmation of consent with the license agreement. Press the "Agree and Start Free Download" button. The file download will start.
After the Java installation file is downloaded, run it and install it on your computer. This process is very simple and will take no more than a minute. After Java is installed on a computer, restart the page on which the service automatically must determine your video card.
To use this method, the Google Chrome browser is not recommended. The fact is that, starting with the 45 version, the program has stopped supporting NPAPI technology. In other words, Java will not work in Google Chrome. For this method, it is recommended to use Internet Explorer.
Method 3: Using GeForce Experience
If this program is already installed, you can easily use it to update the NVIDIA video card drivers. To do this, do the following.

Method 4: Using Driver Update Utilities
This method is somewhat inferior to the previous three. The fact is that when installing drivers, the first three ways to a computer also establishes the GeForce Experience program, which in the future will notify you about the presence of new drivers and download them. In case of installation of drivers through general-purpose utilities, GeForce Experience is not installed. Method 5: Through Device Manager
- On the "My Computer" icon or "This computer" (depending on the OS version), press the right mouse button and select the last string of the "Properties".
