How to set Steam Guard on a computer

Method 1: NOX App Player

The first one of the Android emulators available is the NOX App Player program, which supports the required functionality.

1. Load the installation file and install software on your computer, following the proposed instructions.

2. Upon completion of this operation, open the program. To work Steam Guard, the emulator will need to configure - click on the button with the gear icon at the top of the right.

   

   On the General Settings tab, check the "Ruth" option, because without it the required features may not work.



3. Next, go to the "Performance Settings" section. The parameters are dependent on the hardware capacity of the target computer - for example, for budget machines it is worth choosing a "low" display option, and for powerful - "high".

   

   Similarly, with the type of rendering: For low-performance devices, it is better to leave the "High Speed ​​Mode" option, whereas for computers and laptops the class higher can be enabled "improved compatibility mode" (poor quality of localization). The rest of the settings like the screen resolution and the emulator window view are configured to your taste or leave the default, then click "Save Changes".

   1. Load the installer and install the program on the target computer.

   3. Among the programs submitted, find the desired and click "Set".

   

   4. You will need to log in to Google Play Market - click "Log in" and enter your credentials.

      

      After entering Google Play, use the "Install" button.

   

   5. Wait until Steam is set, then open it from the workspace.

   If you are often encountered with the situation when you need to enter your stima account on someone else's computer, but there is no smartphone with an application, it is useful in the form of 30 disposable codes that can be obtained from the program.

   1. Run the Steam client on a PC or laptop, click on your nickname and select "About Account".

   

   2. Dog down the page down to the Account Protection block and click on the "Setting Steam Guard" link.

   

   3. Here scroll through the "Get Stam Guard Recovery Codes" section and use the "Get Spare Codes" button.

   

   4. SMS will be sent to your phone with a confirmation code - rewrite it in the input field on this page and click "Generate Codes".

   

   5. A list of 30 disposable passwords will appear. They can be recorded, copy, print or draw a screenshot (including and photographed the screen) for further use on other people's machines.
