How to remove a password from a Windows 7 computer

Setting the password to the computer is designed to ensure more reliable safety of information on it. But sometimes after installing code protection, the need for it disappears. For example, this may happen because the user managed to ensure the physical inaccessibility of the PC for unauthorized persons. Of course, then the user can decide that always enter a key expression when the computer starts, it is not very convenient, especially since the need for such protection actually disappeared. Or there are situations where the administrator intentionally decides to provide access to the PC with a wide range of users. In these cases, the edge becomes how to remove the password. Consider the actions algorithm to solve the question of Windows 7.

Method 2: Removing the password from another profile

We now turn to the question of removing the password from another user, that is, not from that profile under which you now make manipulation in the system. To fulfill the above operation, it is necessary to have administrative rights.

1. Go to the "Control Panels" section, which is called "User Accounts and Security". How to perform the specified task was discussed in the first way. Click on the name "User Accounts".



2. In the window that opens, click on the "Managing Another Account" item.



3. A window opens with a list of all profiles that are registered on this PC, with their logos. Click on the name of this from which you want to remove code protection.



4. In the list of action that opens in a new window, click on the "Delete password" position.



5. The password delete window opens. The key expression itself is not necessary to enter here, as we did in the first way. This is caused by the fact that only the administrator can perform any action on a different account. At the same time, it completely does not matter, he knows the key that the other user asked for his profile, or not, as it has the right to carry out any actions on the computer. Therefore, to remove the need to enter a key expression when you start the system for the selected user, the administrator sufficiently click the "Delete password" button.



6. After performing this manipulation, the code word will be reset, as indicated by the lack of status about its availability under the icon of the relevant user.

Method 3: Disable the need to enter a key expression when logging into the system

In addition to the two ways, there is a question above, there is an option to disconnect the need to enter a code word when entering the system without its complete deletion. To implement this option, you must have administrator rights.

1. Call the "Run" tool Apply Win + R. Enter:

   Control UserPasswords2.

   Click OK.



2. The "User Accounts" window opens. Select the name of the profile from which you want to read the need to enter a code word when starting the computer. It is allowed to select only one option. It should be noted that if there are several accounts in the system, now the input will be automatically implemented in the profile selected in the current window without the possibility of selecting an account in the welcoming window. After that, remove the mark near the position "Require user name and password". Click "OK".



3. The automatic login setup window opens. In the upper field "User" displayed the name of the profile selected at the previous stage. The specified element changes are not required. But in the "Password" and "Confirmation" fields, you should double-click the code expression from this Account. At the same time, even if you are an administrator, then you need to know the key from the account when you make data manipulation over a password of another user. If you still do not know it, you can delete, as indicated in the method 2, and then, already assigning a new code expression, to produce the procedure that is said now. After double entering the key, click "OK".



4. Now, when the computer starts, you will automatically log in to the selected account without having to enter a code expression. But the key itself will not be deleted.

In Windows 7, there are two password deletion methods: for your own account and account of another user. In the first case, administrative powers are not necessary, and in the second - it is necessary. In this case, the algorithm of action in these two methods is very similar. In addition, there is an additional way that does not fully delete the key, but allows you to automatically log in without the need for its input. To use the last method, you also need to have administrative rights to the PC.
