Despite the fact that a niche of solutions for cleaning the memory of a smartphone and files with files has long been occupied by third-party applications, Google still released its program under these purposes. Even in early November, the company presented a beta version of the Files Go file manager, in which, in addition to the above features, the function of the quick exchange of documents with other devices is also implemented. And now the next mobile product of the DOG corporation is available for any Android user.

According to Google representatives, first of all Files Go was developed specifically for integration into the Lightweight version of Android Oreo 8.1 (GO Edition). This system modification is designed for ultra-budget devices with a small amount of RAM. Nevertheless, the application is useful and experienced users who consider it necessary to organize personal files in a certain way.

Tab

The application is conditionally divided into two tabs - "Storage" and "Files". The first tab contains prompts to free the internal memory of the smartphone in the form of the already familiar for Android cards. Here the user receives information about which data you can delete: application cache, large and duplicate files, as well as rarely used programs. Moreover, Files Go offers to transfer certain files on an SD card, if possible.

As declare in Google, in the month of open testing the application helped save each user on average 1 GB of free space on the device. Well, in the case of an acute lack of free space, Files Go always allows you to make a backup of important files in one of the available cloud storage, whether Google disk, Dropbox or any other service.

Tab

In the "Files" tab, the user can work with the categories of documents stored on the device. It is impossible to call a full-fledged file manager, but many such a way to organize an available space may seem very convenient. In addition, viewing images in the program is implemented as a full-fledged built-in photo gallery.

However, one of the main features of Files Go is to send files to other devices without network usage. The speed of such a transfer, according to Google, can be up to 125 Mbps and is achieved through the use of a secure Wi-Fi access point automatically created by one of the gadgets.

The Files Go application is already available in the Google Play app store for Android 5.0 Lollipop and above.
