How to disable the screen lock on android

You can argue for a long time about the advantages and disadvantages of the screen lock in Android, but not everyone is not always needed. We will tell you how this function should be turned off correctly.

Turning off the screen lock in Android

In order to completely turn off any SCREENLOCK OPTION, do the following:

1. Go to the "Settings" of your device.



2. Find the "Lock Screen" item (otherwise "Lock and Security" screen).

   

   Tap for this item.

3. In this menu, go to the "Screen Lock" subparagraph.

   

   In it, select the "No" option.

   

   If you have previously been installed any password or a graphic key, you will need to enter it.

Possible errors and problems

Errors when trying to disconnect ScreenLock, there may be two. Consider both of them.

"Disabled by the Administrator, Encryption Policy or Data Warehouse"

This happens if there is an application with administrator rights in your device, which is not allowed to turn off lock; You bought a used device, which was sometime corporate and in it did not remove the seeded encryption tools; You blocked the device using Google search service. Try to do such actions.

1. Go through the path "Settings" - "Security" - "Device Administrators" and disconnect the applications opposite which the tick costs, then try to disable the blocking.



2. In the same item "Security", scroll a little down and find the group "Account Storage" group. In it, tap on setting "Delete credentials".



3. You may need to restart the device.

Forgot password or key

It is already harder here - as a rule, it is not easy to cope with such a problem. You can try the following options.

1. Go to Google's phone search service page, it is located at https://www.google.com/android/deviceManager. You will need to log in to the account used on the device, the lock on which you want to disable.
2. Once on the page, click (or tap, if you entered from another smartphone or tablet) on the "Block" item.



3. Enter and confirm the temporary password that will be used for one-time unlocking.

   

   Then click "Block".



4. A password lock will be enclosed on the device.

   

   Unlock the device, then go to "Settings" - "Lock Screen". It is likely that you will additionally need to delete security certificates (see the solution of the previous problem).

An ultimative solution to both problems is to reset to factory settings (we recommend to make a backup of important data if possible) or flashing the device.
