DNS Yandex

Parental control applies to secure use, and in this case it refers to Yandex.Brazer. Despite the name, the parental control can be used at all, not a mother and dad, optimizing work on the Internet for their events, but also other users of users.

In Yandex.Browser itself, there is no parental control function, but there is a DNS configuration through which you can use free service from Yandex, which is based on a similar principle.

Enabling Yandex DNS servers

When you spend time on the Internet, working or using it in entertainment purposes, I really do not want to randomly stumble on various impartial content. In particular, I want to exist from this my child who can stay at a computer without observation.

Yandex has created its own DNS - servers responsible for traffic filtering. It works simply: when the user tries to enter a specific site or when the search engine tries to display various materials (for example, through the search by pictures), first all the address of the sites are checked through the database of dangerous sites, and then all obscene IP addresses are filtered, leaving only safe results.

Yandex.dns has several modes. By default, the basic mode works in the browser, which does not have traffic filtering. You can set two modes.

  • Safe - infected and fraudulent sites are blocked. Addresses:

    77.88.8.88

    77.88.8.2

  • Family - sites are blocked and advertising with content is not for children. Addresses:

    77.88.8.7

    77.88.8.3.

Here's how Yandex itself compares its DNS modes:

It is noteworthy that using these two modes, you can even sometimes get some gain to speed, as DNS is located in Russia, the CIS and Western Europe. However, the stable and significant increase in speed should not be expected, since DNS performs a different function.
