Documents in PDF format can consist of dozens of pages, not all of which are needed to the user. There is a possibility of splitting a book into several files, and in this article we will tell about how it can be done.

For our current goal, you can use either specialized software, the only task of which is to break the documents on the part, or the advanced editor of PDF files. Let's start with the first type programs.

Method 1: PDF Splitter

PDF Splitter is a tool intended exclusively to separate PDF documents into multiple files. The program is completely free, which makes it one of the best solutions.

1. After starting the program, pay attention to the left part of the working window - it has a built-in file manager in which you need to go to the directory with the target document. Use the left panel to get to the desired directory, and on the right open its contents.



2. Once in the desired folder, select PDF, putting a checkbox in a checkbox opposite the file name.



3. Next, take a look at the toolbar located at the top of the program window. Find the block with the words "SPLIT By" - this is the function of the document separation function to the pages. To use it, just click on the "Pages" button.



4. The "Wizard of Picture Documents" will be launched. It has a lot of settings, the full description of which is beyond the scope of this article, therefore, let's stop at the most important. In the first window, select the location of the parts that are obtained by partition.

5. Fractional progress can be traced in a separate window. At the end of the manipulation, the appropriate notification will be displayed in this window.



6. In the folder selected at the beginning of the procedure, the document page files will appear.

PDF Splitter has disadvantages, and the most clear of them - poor-quality localization into Russian.

Method 2: PDF-XChange Editor

Another program designed to view and edit documents. It also presents the PDF separation tools for individual pages.

1. Run the program and use the File menu item and then Open.



2. In the "Explorer", proceed to a folder with a document intended for breaking, highlight it and click "Open" to download to the program.



3. After downloading the file, use the "Document" menu item and select the option "Remove Pages ...".



4. The settings of the extraction of individual pages will open. As in the case of PDF Splitter, a selection of individual pages is available, configuring the name and output folder. Use the options if necessary, then click "Yes" to start the separation process.



5. At the end of the procedure, the folder will open with the finished documents.

This program works well, but not too fast: the procedure for splitting large files can be delayed. As an alternative to PDF-XChange Editor, you can use other programs from our PDF editors.
