The TIB extension files are a backup of a disk, system, or individual files and folders created by the Acronis True Image program. Users often arise a question how to open such files, and in today's article we will give a response.
Opening TIB files
The TIB format is proprietary for Acronis True Image, because it is possible to open such files in this program. However, there is an unpleasant underwater stone: TIB files created in other versions of the Acronis are most likely not earned in the newest version. The instruction below concerns the images created by the latter at the time of writing Articles (July 2018) version of Acronis True Image.
- Run the program and click on the button with the image of the arrow next to the "Add a copy" inscription, and then click on the Add Executive Backup item.
- Use the built-in file manager to go to the backup folder, highlight it and click "Add".
- A backup in TIB format will be added to the program. To view the contents and / or data recovery, click the "Restore" button.
- You cannot directly view the contents of the backup copy, but you can read the list of files saved inside the TLB. There is a small trick for this. At the top of the recovery manager window, the search page is located, which supports the search on the mask. Enter the characters *. *, And a list of documents will open in the viewer manager.
- If you need to restore data from the backup, use the Acronis True Image Using Guide.

Acronis True Image is not deprived of the shortcomings, the main of which is a paid form of distribution. The trial version, however, is active 30 days, which is quite enough for single use. However, if you often have to deal with TIB files, you will have to think about purchasing a license for the program.
