The inclusion of the function is not difficult, but some users encounter that the buttons for controlling Steam Guard are not in their client, and therefore it does not turn it on - I will also consider this problem.
Enable Steam Guard
In order to enable Steam Guard to protect your account, open the Steam main menu (see image) and select "Settings". In the settings window, an account "Account" must be highlighted.
Pay attention to the security status of your account: It may indicate that Steam Guard is not enabled, and maybe it is already on the contrary.
In the first case, the following should be done:
- Click the "Steam Guard Settings Management" button (if no buttons - read on).
- Check the "Protect My Account using Steam Guard".
- Click "Next" - everything will be understood there.

That's all you need in order to activate Steam Guard. Now, when you try to log in from other computers, a confirmation request will be sent to email and without access to it, the attackers will not be able to use your account.
If there is no power button Steam Guard

Part of the users, acting according to the instructions, are found with the fact that the buttons for configuring Steam Guard are not in the settings. What this is connected to the end is not clear (apparently, something on the server side), but one decision (and it works):
- Exit Steam (not just close the cross, as the program will remain running and there will be an icon in the notification area).
- Go again.
The number of such actions is also incomprehensible, but I have when I wrote this article, there was enough three outputs so that the button appears.
Video - How to Enable Steam Guard
Well, at the same time, I give a short video about the inclusion of Steam Guard, if something remains unclear.
