By default, Kaspersky Anti-Virus scans all objects that correspond to the type of check. Sometimes users do not suit it. So, if the computer contains files that are definitely not infected, you can also add them to the list of exceptions, after which they will be ignored with each check. The same applies to software, especially if it is focused on interacting with games and other programs. Consider how this is done, but it is important not to forget that adding exceptions makes the computer more vulnerable to the invasion of viruses, as there is no 100% guarantee that these files are safe.
Adding a file to exceptions
- Before making a list of exceptions, go to the main program window (it can be started through the label in the system tray) and go to "Settings".
- We go to the section "Optional" and choose the item "Threats and Exceptions".
- Click "Set up exceptions."
- In the window that appears, which by default should be empty, press the "Add" button.
- Then choose the file or folder you are interested in. If you wish, you can add the entire disk. We choose which protection element will ignore the exception.
- Click "Add", after which a new exception will appear in the list. If you need to add another or more, we repeat the actions described above.
That's how easy it is done. Adding exceptions saves time when checking, but increases the risk of penetration of viruses to the computer and in the operating system, so be careful and do it only with knowingly safe files and software components.
