How to delete messages in a conversation vkontakte

Conversations on the social network VKontakte are directly oriented to a large number of users of the dialogs, allowing you to exchange both by regular text messages and practically any multimedia files. In this case, regardless of the content, each recording in the correspondence can be removed by standard means if certain conditions are met. In today's article, we describe this process in detail on the example of different versions of the website.

Removing messages in the conversation

The removal of messages in the conversation in general is a little different from the similar procedure in relation to ordinary dialogs. Moreover, today the function is fully available immediately in all existing versions of the social network, while maintaining the work features in each case.

Method 1: Website

On the official website of VKontakte in the conversation, the removal function is represented by two options, allowing to get rid of both specific messages and from all at all. At the same time, in both situations, the erasure can be made not only personally for you, but also for any other conversation participants, regardless of the version of the social network.

1. Go to the VK website, through the Main Menu, expand the "Messages" section and select the desired conversation. Neither the number of participants nor any other aspects are played in this case.



2. To access the feedback control panel, you must select one or several entries immediately by clicking on the appropriate left mouse button. As a result, a check mark should appear on the left.



3. To initiate the deletion procedure, use the "Delete" signature button on the top of the conversation panel.



4. When you select multiple messages on the screen, a pop-up window will be displayed asking for action.



5. If the desired message does not belong to you or from the moment of sending more than 24 hours passed, the removal can be made only for your page. In addition, the message of the message criteria for some time is allowed to be restored using a special link.



6. If you are trying to delete fresh messages sent to you in person for a day, you can set the "Delete for All" through the confirmation window. Then after clicking "Delete", the sent records will disappear from all users of independence from the read status.

Method 2: Mobile application

1. Using the bottom panel, open the "Messages" section and select the desired conversation. By analogy with the first way, the instruction is identical for any dialogues of this type.



2. To get rid of some particular message, tap the block with it and in the pop-up window, select the Delete function. In a situation with other people's and old publications, removal will not require confirmation, but also will not provide the ability to recover.



3. To erase immediately from a large number of records, you can hold and hold a block with text for a few seconds. After that, on the top panel, click the "Delete" icon and confirm the action through the dialog box.



4. If the messages you selected have been sent for less than a day ago, the "Delete for All" option appears in the confirmation window. Install this checkbox if you want the records to disappear for all conversations.

Due to the lack of recovery of old remote messages, the mobile application is a little inferior to the website in convenience. However, if necessary, you can easily be compensated by using the full version through the appropriate mode of any browser.

Method 3: Mobile version

Despite the name, the mobile version of VKontakte in the removal of messages in the conversation has much more common with the website than with the application. At the same time, the interface is practically no different on the phone from the official client except for the availability of additional options. The rest of the features are completely identical to other versions.

1. Through the main menu, go to the "Messages" tab and select a conversation. As an example, we consider the site on the PC, so that the process may differ slightly on the smartphone.



2. As in the first way, it is now necessary to highlight the removable records. To do this, click on the contents of one or several rows.



3. When the icon appears with a check mark on the right side of messages on the bottom panel, additional options will be available. To get rid of the publication, use the "Delete" medium button.



4. In case of removal of other people or old records, a link "Restore" will be available for some time, allowing you to turn action.



5. If the message was left on your behalf during the last 24 hours, after clicking the "Delete" button on the bottom panel, a pop-up window will appear. Here you can put a check mark "Delete for All" so that the message disappears from the correspondence of each interlocutor.

As can be seen, the procedure is not much different from the previous methods and is something else. On the phone, the method can be an excellent alternative to the official client.
