Despite the fundamental differences in solid-state drives from harsh, with them it is necessary to carry out the same initial activities as with HDD. We will tell you how to initialize SSD within the current article.
Initialize the solid-state drive
The initial SSD setup is no different from the same procedure for a hard disk, but consider this procedure more. First you need to go to a special panel:
- Right-click on the Start button and select "Drive Management".
- Click the PCM for a non-initialized disk, then use the "Initialize disk" item.
- Specify the sections style - we recommend "Table with GUID partitions (GPT - GUID PARTITION TABLE)" - and click "OK".
When you press the last button, the new solid-state drive will be divided, and you can fully use it. If you did not manage to initialize the disk and, moreover, the computer refuses to see it, we suggest familiarizing yourself with special materials dedicated to these topics.
