Alice is a voice assistant integrated into different programs from Yandex and, in particular, in Yandex.Bauzer. With the usual installation of the Alice web browser, the default is activated. However, for a number of reasons, it may be necessary to disable the "helper", for example, with a false response to the microphone noise.
Important! Today, Yandex positions Alice as the most important tool for auxiliary work, so not so long ago in the browser, the possibility of full disabling assistant was removed.
Option 1: Computer
- Select the icon with three strips in the upper right corner of the web browser. In the additional menu that appears, go to the "Settings" section.
- In the left area of the window, open the Tools tab. Find the Alice Voice Assistant Block and disable the "Enable Voice Activation of the phrase" parameter.
From this point on, Alice will cease to respond to voice commands, but the icon itself does not disappear on the browser panel - when it is pressed, the helper window is activated.
Option 2: Smartphone
- Run the web browser on the phone. In the lower right corner, tap on the icon with three dots. In the additional menu that appears, go to the "Settings" section.
- In the "Search" block, select "Voice Features".
- Activate the "Do not use voice" parameter.
Option 3: Yandex.Browser Light (Android only)
For users of smartphones running Android OS, there is an easy version of the web browser, in which there are no voice assistant functions, which can be installed on Google Play Market.

Alice is a useful tool that continues to grow rapidly. Unfortunately, Yandex company practically did not leave users the right to choose and removed the possibility of full disabling the voice assistant.
