Loading and using the Network Speed Test to check the Internet speed
In order to download the program to check the speed of the Internet from Microsoft, go to the Windows 8 Store apps, and to find (in the right pane), enter the name of the application in English, press Enter and you'll see it first on the list. The program is free, but the developer is reliable, because it is the Microsoft, so that you can safely install.
Once installed, launch the program by clicking on the new tile on the home screen. Despite the fact that the application does not support the Russian language, nothing complicated to use it is not here. Just press the «Start» link under the "Speedometer" and wait for the result.
As a result, you will see the time delay (lag), download speed and upload speed (sending data). When the application uses several servers (according to the information available in the network) and, as far as I'm concerned, it gives a fairly accurate information about the speed of the Internet.
