Method 1: Wired connection
The easiest option is to connect the flash drive to the telephone by means of a special cable. This feature is supported by almost all modern smartphones running Android and iPhone with IOS 13 and higher version.Android
For phones with android, you will need to purchase an OTG adapter - they are inexpensive, and you can buy them in any large store or via the Internet. It is also recommended to install USB OTG Checker utility, which will allow you to check the quality of the connection.

- Make sure the target flash drive is formatted in FAT32 or EXFAT, since Android does not work with the NTFS system.
iOS.
This method works like Apple smartphones, with two differences: the adapter looks different and no need to install additional software.
- Connect the adapter, USB flash drive, and then open the files on your iPhone.
- Call the "Overview" item further go to the "Place" position, where they are taping on the element with the drive name.
- Open the catalog with photos, highlight the necessary tap you need, then make another long press. A context menu appears, in which there are options for both displacement and copying. For the latter, click on the desired item, then go back to the "Places" menu and select the "on the iPhone" option, which is responsible for the internal storage of the phone. Next, go to one of the directories, again do Longtap and select "Paste".
Moving images occurs according to a similar algorithm, but the selection of the destination directory is performed in a separate window - specify the position from the previous paragraph and click "Move".
- Run the utility, and in its main menu, select "Photo Transfer" ("Transfer Photos").
- To move the pictures, tap on the "From Ibridge in Camera Roll" button, after which you do not forget to issue permission to access.
- The "Photos Ibridge" catalog opens - select the required images in it, then tap the "Copy ..." button at the bottom of the screen.
- At the end of the procedure, click "Done".
Method 2: Special Lightning-Drives (iPhone)
For iPhone, which run running iOS 12 and below, the solution of the problem under consideration will be special accessories: flash drives or card readers with Lightning connector.

This method is more time-consuming than the OTG connection, but the only one affordable is not new.
Method 3: Using Computer

The most common problem with which they can face both the owners of Android smartphones and the iPhone. Most often, this means that the drive is formatted into an incompatible file system - for example, NTFS. Consequently, the solution will format a flash drive in FAT32 or EXFAT, according to the instructions from step 1 of the "Android" version of the first method.
Also, it will be useful to check the overall performance of the drive - the easiest way to do this with the help of a computer to which the problematic device should be connected. If the PC does not see it, there is a problem. Methods for their elimination are described in a separate article.
