How to find a group in Skype

Method 1: Built-in search function

The search for groups in Skype can be carried out in two different methods and the first is to enter its name through the embedded search string. Accordingly, for this you need to know the name itself, as well as have an account in this program.

1. Being in any of the partitions, use the search string located on top. Click on it to open form with all people and group chats.



2. For easy search, immediately go to the "Groups" section to install suitable filtering settings.



3. Activate the "Group Search" field by clicking on it with the left mouse button, and start typing the community of interest. Note that those groups in which you have already entered are displayed from below and they do not need to be sought.



4. Check out the results and go to the group chat for the start of communication.



5. You can join a conversation and start messaging immediately.

At the same time, consider that other participants in the conversation will immediately be notified that you have entered it, and therefore will be able to greet or contact. You will begin to see the post history only from the moment of entry, and the previous information will be available not in full.

Method 2: Invitation Link

This method of searching the group requires only the transition to the resulting link, which must be obtained from the creator of the conversation or other participants. This option will be optimal if the search cannot be used or the account is not created in Skype. Initially, we will analyze the standard entry option.

1. Ask to provide you with a link. For this community administration, you will have to activate the appropriate option in the conversation parameters.



2. Link itself is located through the "Participants" section, where you need to click "Add People".



3. The creator or another participant must click on the "Link to join the group" button.



4. It remains only to copy it to the clipboard and send you to invitations.



5. Now, when you have a necessary link in your hands, insert it in the address bar of the browser or simply go through the messenger in which the letter came.



6. A notification will be displayed that you need to open the Skype application, which must be confirmed.



7. The program will immediately appear the corresponding conversation, and the entry into it happens automatically, which you will find out by reading a new system message.

Separately, consider the transition along the same link by users who do not have an account in Skype, and there is also no desire or need to create it. Guests can also join the community and send messages.

1. After the link on the link in the browser, click the "Join As Guest" button.



2. Enter your name with which you will be displayed in the list of participants, and then confirm the connection.



3. The Skype web version will open, in which you can immediately start chatting, and the message appears from below that the entry went successfully.
