Method 1: Enter the correct password

In the overwhelming majority of cases, the error under consideration occurs due to an incorrectly entered password of the connection to the selected network, and it can be eliminated by an indication of the right one.

To begin, check that the code has not been changed without your knowledge: use the other device connected to the same network (laptops, smartphones and tablets are suitable) and make sure that they do not show the error "Invalid Key ...". Open the "Dozens" network manager and click on the problem connection. You will be prompted to enter a password, but before entering, press the button with the image of the eye to the right of the string: it can be used to see the entered characters. Write the code word / words, strictly observing the sequence and register (large and small signs are not interchangeable). At the end of this operation, press ENTER.

Method 2: Restarting devices

If the password is obviously faithful, but the error is observed, it is possible that the case in the software is failed both the Windows itself and the firmware of the router. Usually in such cases helps a simple reboot of the computer, the router or both devices together.

Method 4: restart Wi-Fi adapter

A continuation of the reasons described in the previous method is the wireless network module software bug when the driver incorrectly displayed a device from sleep or hibernation, which cannot be properly connected to the router. Usually, this is eliminated by rebooting the computer, but it will be more practical to restart only the Wi-Fi module.

It is done through the "Device Manager" - it is easiest to open it in the "dozen" using the "Start" menu: Press Win + X, then click on the left mouse button (LKM) on the desired item.

After starting the snap-in, open the category "Network Adapters", find inside the string named your module, click on it right-click (PCM) and select "Disable the device".

Wait from 30 seconds to 1 minute, after which you click on the PCM and turn on the component.

Check for an error: If the case was in the driver failure, the actions described above should be enough to eliminate it.

Method 5: Installing manually connecting

Sometimes the problem helps to remove the failure connection and by adding it manually through the "Network Management Center". This is done as follows:

First, open the Wi-Fi manager from the system tray, remember (or better write down somewhere) The name of the connection issuing an error, click the PCM on it and click "Forget".

Next, use the WIN + R key combination, in which enter the following request and click OK.

Here click LKM on the "Creating and Setting New Connection or Network" option.

Use the "Connect to the Wireless Network Manual" item, then click "Next".

In the "Network Name" field, enter the name of the connection received in step 1, the "Security Type" set as "WPA2-Personal" and write the right password in the security key string. Check the specified values and click "Next".

After saving the connection, close the snap-on, then try to connect to the network through the tray manager - this time everything should pass without problems.
