If, during the computer, the cooler publishes the creaking sounds, most likely, it is required to be cleaned from dust and lubricate (and can be replaced at all). It is possible to produce lubrication to the cooler at home, with the help of submitted means.
Preparatory stage
To begin with, prepare all the necessary components:- Alcohol-containing liquid (can be vodka). It will be needed for better cleaning of the elements of the cooler;
- For lubricant, it is better to use machine oil by an imperious consistency. If it is too viscous, the cooler can start working even worse. It is recommended to use special oil for lubrication components that are sold at any computer store;
- Cottage discs and sticks. Just in case, take them more, because The recommended amount is highly dependent on the degree of pollution;
- Dry rag or napkins. It will be ideal if you have special napkins for wiping computer components;
- Vacuum cleaner. Preferably having a small power and / or having the ability to adjust it;
- Thermal Pasta. Optionally, but it is recommended to make a shift the thermal paste during this procedure.
At this stage, you need to turn off the computer from the power supply, if you have a laptop, you also remove the battery. Put the housing into the horizontal position in order to reduce the risk of random disconnection from the maternal card of any component. Remove the lid and proceed to work.
Stage 1: Primary Cleaning
At this stage, you need to make the highest possible cleaning of all PC components (especially, fans and radiator) from dust and rust (if such appeared).
Follow this instruction:
- Remove the cooler and fans, but until you clean them from dust, but put aside.
- Spend the cleaning of the other components of the computer. If the dust is very much, then use the vacuum cleaner, but only at minimum facilities. After cleaning with a vacuum cleaner, they walk along the entire board with a dry cloth or special napkins, removing the remaining dust.
- Carefully walk through all the corners of the motherboard with a tassel, sulfice of dust particles from hard-to-reach places.
- After complete cleaning of all components, you can proceed to the cooling system. If the design of the cooler allows you to disconnect the fan from the radiator.
- With the help of a vacuum cleaner, remove the main layer of dust from the radiator and the fan. Some radiators can be completely cleaned only with the help of a vacuum cleaner.
- Go through the radiator once again with a brush and napkins, in hard-to-reach areas you can apply cotton wands. The main thing is to completely get rid of dust.
- Now wipe the radiator and the fan blades (if they are metallic) cotton disks and chopsticks, slightly moistened in alcohol. It is necessary to eliminate small corrosion formations.
- Paragraphs 5, 6 and 7 are required to spend more with the power supply, pre-disconnecting it from the motherboard.
