How to watch memory frequency in windows
In Windows, there are several methods that allow you to determine which frequency the RAM is running. If you are the Windows 10 user, the easiest way is the task manager: Open it (you can use the right click on the Start button), go to the "Performance" tab and select "Memory".
On the specified tab, besides other information, you will see the "Speed" item, where the frequency in MHz will be displayed.
Additionally, both in Windows 10 and in previous versions of the system you can see the frequencies of the memory modules on the command line or PowerShell, the commands will be the following (parameters in commands can vary, depending on what information is required):

- Download CPU-Z from the official site https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html and run the program in the desired version - 64-bit or 32-bit.
- In the program on the Memory tab you will see the current active memory configuration. The top field - DRAM FREQUENCY - this is the frequency of the memory module for one channel. In case, in the Channel field, "Dual" is specified, the memory works in two-channel mode and the DRAM FREQUENCY frequency we multiply on two.
- The SPD tab allows you to get detailed information about each installed RAM module, including the frequency and timing, manufacturer, voltage, rank and other parameters supported by them.

AIDA64 - more serious software for analyzing computer hardware configuration, not free, but even the trial version allows you to get the necessary information:

- The current frequency information is available in several sections, for example, "computer" - "acceleration". But in my opinion, it is more convenient to look in the "Service" - "AIDA64 CPUID" menu, where in the Memory Type and Memory Clock fields, we will see the nominal and actual memory frequency (in the second field - for one channel).
- Additionally, in the "Service" menu - "Test cache and memory" you can not only see the same frequencies, but also test the speed of RAM, one of the important items here - Latency (less - better).
