CPU-Z - the most popular free program for prompt information about RAM
If you need a compact, simple, free and informative utility that allows you to get information about the hardware characteristics of a PC or laptop, CPU-Z is your choice.
In terms of determining the timings of RAM memory, steps will be as follows:
- Download CPU-Z from the official site https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html. The page presents several download options, I usually use a portable version in the ZIP archive.
- After starting the program (the folder will be present for a 64-bit and 32-bit versions of Windows). Click the "Memory" tab. Here, in the Timings section you will receive information about current RAM timings. For example, out of the screenshot below you can draw conclusions: the memory frequency is 2933 MHz (DRAM Frequency is multiplied by two, since two-channel or dual mode is used) with timings 17-19-19-39.
- Turning to the SPD tab, you can get information about RAM modules (separately for each module, selecting the profiles, frequencies and timings, as well as additional information, including the manufacturer and model of the RAM module in the Slot field.
AIDA64 - more information and additional features

AIDA64 presents several sections where you can get information about the timings of RAM, both active and generally supported by RAM layers, will indicate the main:
- Current RAM timings can be viewed in the "Computer" section - "acceleration".
- Information on supported timings of each module can be obtained from the "SPD" section. The section includes and additional information, including the RAM moduli models.
- If in the main menu open the "Service" item - "AIDA64 CPUID", in the Memory Type section you will also see the current frequency and timing of RAM.
- The "Service" menu section - "Test Cash and Memory" also displays this information and, optionally, allows you to test the memory test by defining one of the key indicators - latency (Latency) or, otherwise, the delay or speed of access to memory in nanoseconds: in the test AIDA64 Measures the time from the command to read data from RAM until this data is obtained by the processor.
