Connecting to the local network, you can have access to Windows network folders on your Android device. That is, for example, in order to watch a movie, it will not necessarily drop it on the phone (you can play directly from the network) is also facilitated and transferring files between the computer and the mobile device.
Before connecting
Note: The guide is applicable in the case when your Android device and computer are connected to one Wi-Fi router.First of all, you need to configure a local network on the computer (even if the computer is only one) and provide access over the network to the desired folders, such as video and music. About how to do this, I wrote in detail in the previous article: how to configure the LAN LAN in Windows.

Connect Android to Windows Lan
In your example to connect to a local network with Android, I will use the File Manager ES Explorer (ES Explorer). In my opinion, this is the best file manager on Android and, among other things, it has everything you need in order to access network folders (and not only this, for example, you can connect to all popular cloud services, including and with different accounts).

After installation, run the application and go to the network connection tab (your device must be connected via Wi-Fi through the same router as a computer with a configured local network), the transition between the tabs is easily carried out using a swipe (with a finger with a finger with a finger with One side of the screen to another).
Next, you have two options:
- Press the SCAN button, then there will be an automatic search for computers on the network (if the required computer is found, you can immediately interrupt the search, otherwise it can last long).
- Press the "Create" button and specify the parameters manually. When manually specifying the parameters, if you configured the local network for my instruction, the username and password will not be needed, but you will need the internal address of the computer's IP on the local network. Best of all, if you specify the static IP on the computer itself in the router subnet, otherwise, when you turn on and turn off the computer, it may vary.
After connecting, you immediately access all network folders to which such access is allowed and can perform the necessary actions with them, for example, as already mentioned, play video, music, watch photos or something else at your discretion.
As you can see, connecting Android devices to the usual LAN Windows network is not a difficult task.
