New Pavilion Sleekbook will be released in two modifications. SleekBook 14, as it can be seen from the name, will have a 14-inch display and the initial price of $ 500. Sleekbook 15, with a 15.6 inch screen will have an initial price of $ 560.
Supplies to the United States will begin on October 26 of the current year, simultaneously with the Microsoft Windows 8 output. Sleekbook 14 will be equipped with the AMD processor Trinity line, while Sleekbook 15 will carry on board Intel Core Ivy Bridge. In May, Hewlett-Packard has already announced the Envy Sleekbook at a price starting from $ 700 - as we see, the price of these laptops has fallen by about $ 100.
Having a thickness of 21 millimeters and a mass of less than 1.8 kilograms, Sleekbook received its own name similar to the already popular "ultrabook" and meaning a cheaper device with similar dimensions and mass.
The prices of UltraBook start from $ 600, and the ultrabooks themselves must strictly match the characteristics set by Intel for such devices: they cannot be thicker than 21 millimeters and should be equipped with Core processors only.
This way, Sleekbook from HP reduces the price of the device due to the fact that it is not limited to the specified strict requirements, showing sufficiently high performance. SleekBook can be equipped with AMD and Intel processors, has a NVIDIA discrete video card and up to 8 GB of RAM - all this is quite an attractive price.
