Wi-Fi distribution from a laptop - two more ways

Not so long ago, I already wrote the instructions on the same topic, but it was time to supplement it. In the article how to distribute the Internet on Wi-Fi from a laptop I described three ways to do this - using the free Virtual Router Plus program, almost all of the well-known Connectify program and, finally, using the Windows 7 and 8 command prompt.

Everything is good, but since then in the program for distribution of Wi-Fi Virtual Router Plus, an undesirable software appeared, which is trying to establish (before it was not, and on the official website). Connectify I did not recommend Last time and I don't really recommend it now: Yes, it is a powerful tool, but I believe that additional services should not appear for the use of virtual Wi-Fi router and make changes to the system. Well, the method with the command line just fits not to all.

Programs for distribution of the Internet via Wi-Fi from a laptop

This time, it will be more about two programs that will help you turn the laptop to the access point and distribute the Internet from it. The main thing that I paid attention to the selection is the security of these programs, simplicity for the novice user and, finally, efficiency.

The most important note: If something does not work, a message appeared that it is impossible to start the access point or similar to it, the first thing to do is: install the driver on the Wi-Fi laptop adapter from the manufacturer's official website (not from the Pak driver and not those windows 8 or Windows 7 or their assembly installed automatically).

Free WiFicreator program

The first and currently recommended program for distribution Wi-Fi - WiFicreator, download from the developer site http://mypublicwifi.com/myhotspot/en/wificreator.html

Note: Do not confuse it with the WiFi HotSpot Creator program, which will be at the end of the article and which is stuffed with malicious software.

Installing the program is elementary, some additional software is not installed. It is necessary to run it on behalf of the administrator and, in fact, it does the same thing that can be done using the command line, but in a simple graphical interface. If you wish, you can enable the Russian language, and also make the program starts automatically from Windows (disabled by default).

1. In the Network Name field, Enter the desired wireless network name.
2. In Network Key (network key, password), enter the wi-fi password, which would consist at least 8 characters.
3. In the Internet Connection item, select the connection you want to "distribute".
4. Click the "Start Access Point" button.

So all the actions that are required in order to start distribution in this program, in every way I advise.

Mhotspot.

Mhotspot is another program with which you can distribute the Internet by Wi-Fi from a laptop or computer.

Be careful when installing the program

Mhotspot has a more nice interface, a larger number of options, displays the connection statistics, you can view the list of clients and set the maximum number of them, but has one drawback: when installing it is trying to install an unnecessary or even harmful, be careful, read the text in the dialog boxes and refuse everything that you do not need.

When starting, if you have an antivirus with built-in firewall on your computer, you will see a message that Windows Firewall (Windows Firewall) is not running, which can lead to the fact that the access point will not work. In my case, everything worked. However, it may be necessary to adjust the firewall or shutdown it.

Otherwise, the use of a Wi-Fi distribution program is not much different from the previous one: enter the name of the access point, password and select the Internet source at Internet Source, after which it remains to click the Start Hotspot button.

In the program settings you can:

• Enable autorun with Windows (RUN AT Windows Startup)
• Automatically include distribution Wi-Fi (Auto Start Hotspot)
• Show notifications, check updates, turn in tray, etc.

Programs that do not try

In the course of writing this review, I had two more programs for distributing the Internet on a wireless network and which come across one of the first when searching:
